George Villano
Senior Managing Partner

George Villano joined CarterMacKay in 1981. His initial focus as an Account Executive was to recruit sales and sales management positions within the computer and data communications industries. In 1985 he was appointed director of the company’s Information Technology Group and launched the company’s expansion into the software market. In 1993 he facilitated CarterMacKay’s initiative into emerging Internet technology companies. In addition to these responsibilities, Mr. Villano is actively involved in the company’s overall strategic direction and growth. Prior to joining CarterMacKay, Mr. Villano was employed as a Sales Representative by Thomas J. Lipton Corp. from 1979 until 1981 and was a special education teacher at the High School level from 1977 until 1979. He is a graduate of Jersey City University where he received his BA in Special Education in 1976 and, after being awarded a fellowship, his MA in Secondary Education in 1977. 
Mr. Villano resides in Northern New Jersey with his wife and two daughters.

Michael Rowell
Senior Managing Partner

Michael Rowell has been associated with CarterMacKay since 1987, when the company expanded its operations by opening and office in Framingham, MA. Initially hired as an Account Executive to recruit sales, sales management and marketing positions within the healthcare industry, he was promoted in 1991 to manage the Massachusetts office. Prior to joining CarterMacKay, Mr. Rowell was employed as a Sales Representative with Quincy Medical Supply Corp. from 1985 until 1987. He is a graduate from the University of New Hampshire where he received his BS in Health Care Administration in 1985.

Matt Gallo
Senior Managing Partner

Matt Gallo joined CarterMacKay in 1999. He was initially hired as an Account Executive out of our Massachusetts office focusing on the software markets in New England and Canada. Based on exceptional performance, Mr. Gallo was promoted in 2001 to nationally develop and expand CarterMacKay’s coverage of the software and service markets. In 2007 he became Managing Partner and expanded his role to include Training, Business Development and Operations. Prior to joining Carter/ MacKay, he was employed as a Senior Consultant by First National Marketing, a retained executive search firm in the Boston area. Mr. Gallo received a BS in Management from Salem State College in 1996. 
He currently resides in suburban Boston with his wife and two children.

Tom Padell
Director—Consulting and IT Services

Tom has enjoyed working with the team at CarterMacKay, and placing senior business development and sales executives with top-tier IT Services and business consulting firms for the past 8yrs. Joining the firm to start the IT Services practice, Tom was promoted to Division Manager in 2008 and is heading a team focused on growing a national presence. Tom’s 14+ years of search experience allow him to truly understand his client’s business and provide insightful evaluations based on domain expertise. His clients have included EDS, Cognizant Technology Solutions, Capgemini, CSC, KPMG and mid-cap and start up organizations. Prior to joining CarterMacKay, Tom worked in the Boston High Tech VC market, recruiting for world-class software startups. He Graduated from The University of Tampa. He resides South of Boston with his wife and 2 daughters.

Douglas Griffith
Director—Healthcare

Doug Griffith joined CarterMacKay in 2004 as an Account Executive in our Pharmaceutical / Medical Sales division. He was quickly promoted to a Sr. Account Executive in 2005 and then to a Division Manager in 2007. In January 2010 Doug opened up our newest office in Charleston, SC. Prior to CarterMacKay, Doug was as a Territory Sales Manager with Wyeth Pharmaceuticals from 2001 to 2004. He received his BA in Psychology from Johnson State College in 2000. Doug resides on Johns Island, SC with his wife Regina and two son’s Hank and Mack. In his spare time Doug enjoys spending time with his family, hunting, fishing and watching college football.

Brenda Roseberry
Director—Scientific
, Preclinical/Clinical–PK, Pharmacology, Pharmacometrics

Brenda has been part of the scientific team since 2006. Her formal education is in Biochemistry and prior to working with Carter Mackay Brenda had a professional background as a PK scientist in the pharma industry, and later entered into pharma sales and consulting. As a result of her professional training and background Brenda has been a successful recruiter in the areas of preclinical and clinical PK/PD, pharmacology, and pharmacometrics. She is a respected recruiter in her field and top performer at Carter Mackay. Based upon her consistent performance and leadership qualities she was promoted to Division Manager in 2013 to lead the Scientific team into new markets. Brenda continues to regularly attend professional symposia in order to maintain current scientific knowledge as well as to meet candidates and clients in person. She resides with her husband and two children in Denver, Colorado and is an avid runner.

Ashley Lippert
Division Manager—Medical and Pharmaceutical

Ashley Lippert joined Carter Mackay in 2008 as an Account Executive in our Pharmaceutical/Medical Sales division. She was promoted to a Senior Account Executive in 2010 and then to Division Manager in 2012, managing the Pharmaceutical Team in the Boston office. Ashley received her BS in Marketing from John Carroll University, Boler School of Business in 2008. She is originally from Pittsburgh, PA and currently resides in Quincy, MA.
